Roshni Kalsekar is a regular student of Hope Learning Station, Nersa, Karnataka state, India. She is studying in standard 5th at the local Government Primary School. She lives with her parents and two siblings, who are also students. Her parents work as daily wage workers and manage to support their family with their livelihood.
When Roshni first joined HLS, she was very stubborn and short-tempered.
She used to talk back to her peers and her elders. This behaviour kept people away from Roshni, and she was not well-liked.
However, she started to change after attending Hope Station classes and practicing Phonemic Intelligence regularly. For example, her stubbornness disappeared!
Now, Roshni is a different person; she is transformed and very well-liked.
Along with her Hope Station studies, she does her school homework wholeheartedly. Because of the Personal Transformation Program lessons, she learned the importance of treating everyone with respect, which she has implemented in her life. In addition to helping her parents, she helps her neighbours and anyone in need. These positive changes in her are only possible because of the Hope Station classes.
Roshni says that she will always make sure that she never mistreats anyone.
Instead, she will always be polite and respectful and spread positivity in everyone’s life, for these are the most significant lessons she learned at Hope Station.
