Sushma Desai: Nersa’s own hope and joy brings Phonemic Intelligence to her community.
Sushma Desai has been working at a Hope Learning Station in Nersa, Karnataka for three years and implementing Dr. Pillai’s teachings of Phonemic Intelligence with the students of her community.
In her own words, Sushma states, “The Hope Learning Station introduced at my village by Tripura Foundation gave a new ray of hope to children in such tough conditions, which will remain with them for a lifetime. Each day I can see sincere efforts towards studies and new dreams in their eyes through the wonderful things we teach at hope stations.”
Sushma also adds, “Children understand much better when they are being taught with love and affection.”
Sushma’s contribution to Tripura Foundation Hope Learning Station
Since the Hope Learning Station has started, Sushma has made all her possible efforts to teach the children in a very effective way. She knows that these children lack academic support at their home as most of the parents are illiterate, and thus when there is no support at home, the children feel helpless. This can make the children demotivated. That is where Sushma steps in and transforms these students’ lives with the teachings of Dr. Pillai’s phonemic intelligence program, and she sees marvelous transformations in their lives. Sushma always appreciates the children for all the little things they accomplish at HLS and encourages them to learn with a whole heart to become what they want to be in the future.
