Rajkumar lives in a small hut. He is one of many children living in abject poverty in rural India. Every day, his single working mother struggles to feed the family on a meager income. Though Rajkumar lives in this kind of situation, he is strongly focused on transforming his life. Unlike many friends, he is very careful to maintain his uniform and school bag because he knows that having to replace these items would add much burden to his mother. Still, even dire poverty cannot stop him from dreaming about becoming a district collector (a government official who collects and distributes funds). He is confident that by doing this he can serve other underprivileged children and help to eradicate poverty. He helps his friends with school work and believes that his dream will become reality via Personal Transformation curriculum of his HoPE Learning Center in Coimbatore.
